What we do

Identify Small yet Effective Non-Profits
GoPhilanthropic Foundation partners with a carefully vetted group of small, locally-managed NGOs, with long-term COMMITMENTS within their communities--organizations around the world providing effective, creative and sustainable solutions to global issues.  Located in India, SE Asia and Africa, our portfolio represents a collection of great people quietly accomplishing great things.  Funded programs range from shelters for vulnerable children, to those providing scholarships for education, projects supporting women and girls and health care initiatives in rural villages.  All of our partners have education and empowerment at the core.

Working in conjunction with GoPhilanthropic Travel, we are able to connect donors directly with the people and the programs they support.

Help them reach THEIR goals - a partnership
In partnering with these inspiring programs and in LISTENING carefully to their missions, we provide assistance by funding specific needs with respect to education, health and empowerment.  In addition, we offer networking opportunities as well as support in areas relating to sustainability of the programs.

GoPhilanthropic was born out of a desire to get away from the traditional check-writing charity to a more active and engaged philanthropy based on relationships and a shared commitment to growth within communities around the world.  GoPhilanthropic donors become a part of the work being accomplished within these small yet effective organizations.

Fund Critical Needs

Our partner programs are on the front-line, offering services in villages and communities lacking access to healthcare and education. Providing these basics are Step 1 in the growth pattern towards self-sufficiency.

Options for funding fall into 3 major categories:
  • Scholarships and Education:  supporting a child to attend school, empowering women and children in rural villages through village workshops, and supporting vocational projects
  • Health Programs:  funding health care visits and workshops, providing clean water and nutritious food
  • Tools for Success: classrooms, libraries, computers, uniforms, bicycles, solar power, vehicles and more.

Assess Needed Knowledge: A Wholistic Approach

GoPhil's Tracey Morrell works alongside the accountants at M-Lisada, Uganda
Once a trusting relationship has been established and grants are in place to meet basic needs, a program is able to consider the strength and weaknesses of their core competencies.  GoPhilanthropic begins the process of truly investing in the growth and health of the organization as a whole.  Through a series of on-site assessments conducted over a period of time, we are able to identify the skills and knowledge needed to scale and develop on a healthy trajectory.

We assess the following core competencies:
  • Organizational basics:  defined and shared mission, vision and core values
  • Leadership and staff management capabilities
  • Budgeting, finance  & fund management
  • Measurement & program management
  • Communications & grant writing.

Engage and Connect: The Journeys

Meet the PEOPLE behind the programs...GoPhilanthropic Foundation Journeys
Working in partnership with GoPhilanthropic Travel,  we invite you to see first-hand the work being accomplished in these communities.  These visits allow us to ask more questions, understand what is needed, consider the challenges and then decide on the best ways forward.   These are not volunteer trips, but instead opportunities for learning and sharing knowledge.   While the funding part of what we do is critical, the pillar of our philanthropic philosophy begins with HUMILITY-- simply listening, learning, then considering how we can contribute, both in knowledge and resources.  Join us as we engage further with these important programs...
