Teena and Nimesh Patel wanted to celebrate their marriage in a way that represented their common globally-conscious spirit. Instead of a traditional honeymoon of R&R they decided give back while traveling. The couple had always dreamed of going to Thailand so GoPhilanthropic created a fabulous guided trip through Bangkok, Northern Thailand and Cambodia. We wanted to make sure the trip had elements unique to their interests such as cooking, exploring the exotic markets and Teena had a love for elephants since childhood. They stopped at the Elephant Nature Park, a sanctuary/orphanage for abused and neglected elephants and later moved onto Cambodia where they donated 3 water wells. Sound they roughed it on their honeymoon? Not at all..we helped them select gorgeous hotels focused on sustainable practices, they had local guides throughout…and of course we made a contribution to offset their carbon. Meaningful trips don’t have to be about budget travel…
