Project Description
Supporting brave, educated, local women to provide healthcare in communities of rural Nepal.
PHASE brings integrated, lifesaving health services and resources to women, men and children in some of the most isolated Himalayan mountain villages in Nepal – some so remote they require seven days walking to reach.
PHASE health workers act as the first point of call for health-related emergencies in rural villages, working tirelessly to provide primary level care, deliver babies and run vaccination and preventative health campaigns. PHASE aims for long-term sustainability and has developed a successful ‘exit strategy’ – once a health post is established and well-functioning, PHASE begins the process of handing over the post and financial responsibility to the government, allowing PHASE to expand medical access across rural Nepal.

PHASE believes that poor health, low education and poverty are all aspects of the same problem which create a cycle preventing people from taking control of their own futures.
