Project Raise continues to transform the gender equity landscape across India, one partnership at a time. In the last quarter, Equal Community Foundation (ECF) made impressive headway with the following activities:

  • Exploration of potential partnership with 15 new organizations across five different regions, one of which was GoPhil partner TARA Child Protection & Empowerment in New Delhi.
  • Facilitation of three intensive training workshops, two of which were attended by GoPhil partner Vikalp Sansthan in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
  • Implementation of two Action for Equality pilot programs — one by Vikalp Sansthan, which enrolled and began working with 96 local boys.
  • Establishment of a new partnership with the International Center for Research on Women, which will support gender equity capacity building for nearly 800 teachers from 400 schools, with the potential to reach 20,000 more boys in the next two years.

In total, Project Raise has partnered with 243 organizations to date. Through these partnerships,12,099 boys have participated in Action for Equality programs, with the majority demonstrating highly equitable attitudes after completion of the programs.

Thanks to the generosity of the GoPhil community, we are now 50% of the way toward reaching our fundraising goal for ECF’s next grant cycle, which begins on July 1st, 2020. If there is anything you can do to help us complete this goal, it would be so appreciated by all of us at GoPhil and ECF. Tell a friend about Project Raise, share on social media, create your own fundraiser, or make a contribution today… anything and everything helps!
