Founder
Born in Ottawa, Canada--avid traveler, mother-of-three, writer and President/Founder of GoPhilanthropic.  In 2000 Lydia left her job as an Executive Search Consultant to pursue a lifelong interest in travel and humanitarian programs.  She and her family moved to Provence, France where they lived for 6 years while exploring many developing countries.  In 2007 they returned to the US and launched GoPhilanthropic Travel.  In 2010 GoPhilanthropic Foundation was formed in order to more actively partner with small grassroots non-profits around the world.  Lydia splits her time between their home base in Los Angeles, Provence, and the regions within which GoPhil works.

Now on Amazon...A beautiful mixture of travel memoir, soul-searching, adventure and making a difference, Jumping the Picket Fence - A Woman’s Search for Meaning from the Suburbs to the Slums is Founder Lydia Dean's inspiring journey to GoPhilanthropic-- an awakening from a lost and under-confident working mother to an ambassador for impoverished communities.
Join her on a fearless, inspirational path around the world—through the ups and downs of volunteering at an orphanage in India, exploring the back roads of Southeast Asia, adopting a child from China, trekking with indigenous peoples of Venezuela, and ultimately launching GoPhilanthropic. From magical and entertaining to painfully raw and unsettling, her experiences reveal the profound value in listening to our inner voices.
