Memorial Funds

The Alton Mattioli Memorial Scholarship Fund provides a platform in which Remembrances in Alton’s name can be made via GoPhilanthropic Foundation, an organization which supports educational programs in Vietnam, a country he gladly visited twice with his wife Sharon to experience the reconciliation of peace.

The Bahia Dergham Memorial Fund for Education has been supporting the livelihood and education of 40 children residing at TARA Homes for Children in New Delhi. TARA is a residential service with an emphasis on education for street children and abandoned children. TARA ensures quality education, security, complete health care and a real opportunity to carve a bright future. The program’s ethos revolves around the belief that if children are raised in a family-like, tight-knit environment emotional support  coupled with a high level of intellectual stimulation, children from vulnerable situations can begin to heal, learn and realize their true potential. TARA children are currently receiving an education in various reputed schools in South Delhi.

The Dorothy J Dethloff Fund honors GoPhil Co-Founder Linda Dethloff DeWolf’s mother Jean, who passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2020, though she was almost 99 years old. Jean was an RN and worked in many health care settings serving women and children. That was her passion, so Linda decided to honor her by establishing a memorial fund in her name that supports GoPhilanthropic programs that serve women and children’s health during times of crisis.

The Hugh Berberich Memorial Music Education Fund is being established through GoPhilanthropic Foundation to assist struggling musicians in various fields and disciplines of music.  Because of Hugh’s humble beginnings, this fund is not strictly limited to buying instruments or lessons for students, but will be administered on a case by case basis that might, for example, include something such as funds to cover transportation to lessons or gigs.  This fund will reflect Hugh’s personal dedication to music education and performance.
