We couple small to midsize grants (5k to ~20k) with opportunities to reinforce the ideas and assets within each organization and to then facilitate local, regional and global networking and workshop opportunities to leverage the power of collaboration and interconnection.

Encourage Personal & Informed Philanthropy

Our role has been to thoughtfully educate our donors, to help them discover, as we have, how to become informed grassroots philanthropists. One of the most powerful catalyst in this learning journey is giving donors, or potential donors, the chance to hear for themselves how community development has the greatest impact when people lead their own way. Opportunities to visit our partner programs in person remains a central educational component to our mission.

Shift Power & Privilege in Philanthropy

We recognize the inherent existence of power and privilege that exists within the grantee / grantor relationship. This awareness has given us a new lens from which to see the potential in our work, one that is helping us to create practices to fully share the power and resources we are fortunate to have been given.
