GOPhil is thrilled to have funded the pipes, an NGO in Singapore provided the tank and our fab partners LEOT helped to facilitate the project.

20160605_095230The water project was the third phase of a larger grant offered to LEOT to oversee critically needed renovations and repairs (electricity and roofing) to the school in Ban Paklung.  Despite recent economic growth, approximately half of children under five years of age are malnourished and many rural villages do not have safe drinking water, healthcare or adequate schooling. Most rural families still make their living from subsistence farming and fishing.

It was great to see the result of several organizations collaborating together to complete this important project.

GOPhilanthropic  has partnered with LEOT for the past 5 years, mainly supporting the needs of the LEOT school that provides free lessons for older disadvantaged students. We are excited to support LEOT’s work in the wider community helping improve the conditions in rural schools.
