Nepal Disaster Update: Application of Funds

All of us at GoPhilanthropic wanted to take a moment to thank you for your amazing caring and donations to date in response to the earthquake in Nepal–you have been wonderful partners in a great time of need.   As of today, Nepal reports 7,500 have died, 14,355 injured and over 8 million people directly affected.  The government has prioritized the hardest hit 12 districts where aid of $350,000 is allocated to each of these to be finished within one month with immediate support relating to health, food, and temporary housing.

We have collectively raised $6,850 to date.  Our goal is to reach a minimum of $10,000 by the end of the month.

GoPhilanthropic’s support will stay true to it’s mission as it evaluates requests for funding. Projects must be submitted by organizations that have been vetted by GoPhilanthropic, represent long term rebuilding and have clear and tangible results. Requests will be evaluated based on the thoroughness of the plan, the organization’s ability to effectively execute and how our funds can make the broadest impact.

For those who would like to help us reach our $10,000 goal– donations can be made here.

You can expect an update as we identify the particular programs and projects that we will be funding and, of course, regular progress reports as the rebuilding takes place.

Thank you again for your tremendous support.
