Books, Bikes, Computers, Uniforms and Transportation
Children need basic educational tools in order to thrive academically and personally. Most of our partner programs are located in rural areas where resources to attend school are extremely limited. For example, if a child can’t afford a school uniform they are simply not able to attend classes; if a child does not have adequate transportation to school, they may be late and as a result may be expelled from school. Computers, solar power, snack program tuk-tuks, bikes and books are common educational tools that GOPhil funds for our partner programs.
Salaries and general operating costs:
Many donors like to donate “things,” yet is often hard for our partner NGOs to secure funding for the basic operational expenses, without which they could not exist. Included in these critical costs are staff salaries and training courses.
Capital Projects:
GOPhil donors have funded the construction of dozens of classrooms, libraries, and computer centers.
